Ehyuskah Poem

Your eyes downcast
Your jawlines set and a firm grip, to…
Disown me!

Your shoulder slightly turned
To show an ear turned outside…
A public shunning?
A visible shaming?…

Why? I ask you.
Because I am here, to be visible…

With words needed to be said,
Words lost in time so long ago
That they seem to be forgotten.

I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN!
I stand alone, from you, my Tyospeya.
Alone from them…my genetics display!

ALONE BUT ALWAYS IN THE MIDDLE
The middle of a lonely bridge
I alone hold out both arms to you both,
A heart connected to you both!

May you both find the truth of your love
On both sides through me!

I hurt from each side of your pain,
I yearn from each side of your heart.

But what am I to do?
I am destined to stay and stand where I am…
Belonging…
Here…
In the middle!

Standing, holding your sacred space
Of your meetings!

Meetings of your heart
MAYBE…
ONE DAY!

My heart stands firm
With my love for you both.

Love,
